Doctors Force Parents To Pull Plug On Little Girl. 10 Days Later, Realize Their Mistake
While most doctors provide undeniably wonderful care to the sick, they sometimes can be surprised by a turn of events. Something that we never thought could happen can happen in the blink of an eye, and can wind up dumfounding even the most specialized practitioners.
At just one-year-old, Marwa was put into an induced coma. An aggressive virus was found to be wrecking havoc on her nervous system, and sadly, things were not looking up. Prior to inducing the coma, doctors told Marwa's parents, who are from Marseilles, France that their daughter was facing impending death.
Due to budget restraints, doctors told Marwa's parents that she would have to be taken off life support within the week. Her parents were devastated to hear the doctor's message, and insisted that Marwa needed more time to recover. They couldn't fathom losing their young daughter, and decided to do everything they could to save her.
Marwa's Dad, Mohamed Bouchenafa, started a change.org petition with hopes of taking the case to court. The petition garnered 115,000 signatures and numerous well wishes for the family.
Surprisingly, Marwa had plans of her own. Just ten days after doctors told Marwa's parents that she would be taken off life support, Marwa woke up from her coma - completely unassisted. This medical miracle shocked the doctor and Marwa's parents, as their 'little princess' showed a major sign of recovery.
Marwa opened her eyes to her Dad, and Mohamed was ecstatic that his little girl was awake. He and Marwa's Mom rejoiced that their daughter miraculously awoke from her coma.
"My little wonder can smile at me, finally continuing to battle. Her face has softer traits than normal, but her condition remains stable, aside from a fever from time to time."

Marwa still has a long road ahead of her, but she has two very supportive parents that are going to be right by her side through it all. Her story of strength is incredibly inspiring, and we wish Marwa good health and healing as she continues to improve.
