Woman See's Soldier On Side Of The Road, Pulls Over And Catches Him In The Act
Katie Mooney 2/7/2017
When we think of our military men and women, a variety of thoughts often come to mind. We picture strong, confident soldiers in uniform; we imagine the difficult and dangerous situations that they proudly face every day; we remember the tremendous challenges they've bravely chosen to endure; and we think of their dedication to protecting, and their willingness to fight for the safety and freedoms of our country.
These steady and strong men and women are without a doubt our "real life" super heros - standing up for us on AND off of the battlefield...
As Kansas woman Tammra Bose was driving along a rural road, she spotted a bizarre scene unfolding. She pulled over to get a better look, and couldn't believe what she saw.
Tammra was on her way home one day when she noticed a soldier get out of his car on the side of the road. It only took a moment for Tammra to realize that this special scene was too important not to capture with a photo...
This kind-hearted, humble soldier felt compelled, after seeing a homeless man sitting alone in the chilly outdoor air, to stop what he was doing - and join him for a simple conversation. This military man made a difference in the life of another human being in this very moment - he initiated a much needed, and memorable, human connection.
Tammra shared in her Facebook post,
"I was so touched to see this soldier get out of his car and go sit down and start talking to this homeless man."
She went on to explain,
"We need more of this in this world we live in. This picture is truly worth more than a thousand words."
More than ever, our world and the people in it - need more random acts of kindness, more coming together, more understanding and patience, and more love and unity. Because after all, "we're all in this thing together."
You don't have to do something extravagant to change a life - sometimes all it takes is being there for someone during a challenging time. Share this heart-warming story with your loved ones, and remind others of ripple effect that "simply being kind" can have on our world.
